After missing more than two school years of
face-to-face classes, the Department of Education finally allowed the conduct
of limited face to face classes in the country. The pilot implementation will
take place only in areas categorized as low risk and require commitment for shared responsibility of DepEd
and Local Government Units as well as the parents and guardians with stringent health
and safety standards to be followed.
Nominated schools are schools which are considered
ready to implement the limited face-to-face classes and those which are either
fully compliant with the School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) but with pending
LGU concurrence or those validated by the Schools Division Composite Team.
Eligible schools are SSAT compliant with LGU concurrence and participating schools
are schools under Alert Level 1 and 2 pursuant to the Alert Level imposed by
the Local IATF.
Originally, there are twelve (12) schools in the Schools Division of Batanes allowed to conduct limited face to face classes in select Key Stages which started on January 17, 2022 and the number of schools has continued to increase in the progressive expansion of classes as validated by the Composite Team.
